I grew up in Port Angeles, Washington, number 4 of 8 children. A friend invited me to church with him and I soon accepted Jesus Christ as my savior at the age of 10.
Through the Godly influence of my pastor and lay persons, I sensed a call to ministry and at the age of 11 I began to prepare my life’s calling. I attended Seattle Pacific College and then entered the Air Force and served in South East Asia.
I returned to college and attended Pasadena College to finish my preparation for ministry. I graduated in 1971 and in November was married to Ellen. Soon afterwards we took a full time position as youth pastor.
Eventually, I sensed God’s calling to be a lead pastor and headed for Kansas City to attend seminary. I have pastored churches in Missouri, Illinois, Idaho and Montana for the past 45 years.
I pastored Fairview originally as a transitional pastor from April 2010 to April 2012 and accepted the permanent position in August of 2016.
